What happen if u keep lipgloss for 5 years?

the color still looks good and it doen't smell badWhat happen if u keep lipgloss for 5 years?
I would not use it, even if it does look okay and smell fine. I know you're supposed to get new mascara every 5-6 months (or else your eyelashes might get parasites) and new eyeshadow every two years. Not sure how long you can keep lipgloss for but if you have to replace other makeup after certain amounts of time I imagine you'd have to do the same for lipgloss.What happen if u keep lipgloss for 5 years?
it was probebly originally made containing ALOT of perservatives. any product with quality, natural or synthetic ingredients that actually have a benefit WILL go rancid. if you saw what was in your lipgloss under a microscope you would probebly be a hypochondriac for a good month after. are you in highschool??? college?? go to the lab, squeeze a dab of your lipgloss onto a peatree dish . I DARE YOU!! EWWWWWW!!!! throw it away~

think about it. everytime you put on lipgloss or any makeup for that matter, anything on your lips, bacteria, dead skin.... image anything anything else....


all of that accumulates inside the bottle. thats why we should replace makeup after a while. the liquids one the fastest ( foundations...mascara...) and solid one the least (eye shadows...)


it accumulates and any bacteria in there multiplies by feeding on the dead skin.... i know gross. throw it away.


maxiumum dont keep anything more than a year.


REPLACE YOU MAKE UP!!

Just because the color looks good and doesn't smell bad, doesn't mean it's not expired or bad. That's how food poisoning happens. People think the food is good because it looks and smells fine, but it's not.

don't use it because imagine that when u first used it 5yrs ago the bacteria and skin and stuff from ur lips wud have gotten in the bottle and they probs wudve grown in there and if u put it on ur lips u could get an infection

I agree with the people who said don't use it. You don't know what's been growing in that lipgloss tube for the past few years. Lipgloss is cheap enough..... toss it and buy a new one. I toss my mascaras after 3 months. I use up my lipstick within a few months... any lipstick that sits around for a few months without being worn gets chucked in the trash... whether it's old or not. I've seen so many stories where they've done research on this type of thing and found that old makeup can harbor lots of bacteria. After 5 years, I could only guess what's in yours.
Every makeup has an expiration date and lip gloss is like 2 to 3 years. It doesn't apply as well and get clumpy.Even if yours doesn't have these problems, BACTERIA grows in it, not a great thing to put on your mouth!! A good idea would be to go buy a new one, it will look better and you won't get sick!!That's a plus!=)=)

Well if it has an expectoration date you should check.If it doesn't than its still good to use.
My estee lauder lip gloss started stinking after 2 years.
