Make your own lipgloss recipes?
i need to learn how!!! i have been waiting fer a LONG time for a recipe and all the ones on the internet sting my lips and dont turn out right!! HELPPMake your own lipgloss recipes?
Silky, Shiny, and Vibrant are three words that can describe a luscious pair of lips smoothed with lip-gloss. Lip-gloss can be a delightful treat for a young girl or for a kiss. Making your own lip-gloss can be fun, exciting and tasty.
I have taken the pleasure of finding some of the most exuberating lip-gloss recipes for ladies that are interested in a lip smacking experience. Discover cool ingredients that you can take right out of your kitchen cabinet. Learn ways to invent your own special lip-gloss flavor favorites.
Note: If any of the ingredients in a recipe causes an allergic reaction than please discontinue use or do not use at all.
Chocolate Lip Gloss
3 tablespoons cocoa butter
4 or 5 chocolate chips
1 capsule vitamin E
Melt all ingredients in a double boiler, and then blend with a spoon until the mixture is very smooth. Put into a container and refrigerate until solid.
Cranberry Lip Gloss
1 tablespoon almond oil
10 fresh cranberries
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon petroleum jelly (optional - for more shine)
Mix all the ingredients and then place them in a microwave or heat-resistant container. Heat in the microwave or a water bath until the mixture just begins to boil (1-2 minutes in the microwave). Stir well and gently mash the berries. Let the mixture stand for at least 5 minutes.
Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove all pieces of cranberry. Stir and allow to cool completely. When cool, spoon into a clean container.
To use: Spread a small amount onto your lips.

1 tablespoon grated beeswax
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1/8 teaspoon vitamin E oil
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
Place the beeswax, coconut oil and vitamin E oil in an ovenproof container. Heat gently until the wax and oils are melted. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix well. Pour the mixture into a clean container and allow to cool completely before using.

Stir in as much of the drink mix as possible. The actual amount will depend on the temperature of water. You can choose the color and flavor of you lip-gloss by the type of drink mix you use.
2. Add one drop of the water mixture to the shortening/honey base. Stir well. Repeat until you get the color/flavor combination you want. Pour into a clean container or old lip-gloss jar.
3. Store in the refrigerator. Keeps for 3 days, but it tastes so good that you will use it up very fast!
Not only are Kool-Aid glosses yummy but also you can add your favorite soda pop instead. This alternative tastes great. Melted ';Pop Rocks'; added to your batch will give you a big flavor burst! Teas such as strawberry, chamomile, and ';sleepy time” are also great as an alternative also. Try using hot cocoa mix for a chocolate treat!
Lip balms are fun to make too. They help soothe your lips and they are also delicious to taste. You can choose which essential oils will be the best to you. For example, peppermint oil, orange oil, or tea tree oil are great for making a balm.
Here are some recipes for making a yummy and soothing balm.
Lip Balm
· 5 to 6 TBSP Sweet Almond, Jojoba, Castor, or Quality Vegetable Oil
· 1 TBSP Beeswax
· 2 tsp. Pure Honey
· 10 drops Orange or Peppermint Essential Oil for a sweet taste, or Tea Tree to treat cold sores and chapped, flaky lips
· 1/2 tube favorite colored moisturizing lipstick (optional)
Directions:
Melt together the oil and beeswax in a small saucepan over low heat or in a double boiler just until wax is melted. Use the larger amount of oil if you want a thinner, glossier consistency. Remove from heat. Add honey and blend mixture thoroughly.
If you would like to add color to your gloss, add some of your favorite color of lipstick now, while the mixture is still hot.
Stir the mixture occasionally as it cools this will help to prevent separation. It should have the consistency of petroleum jelly when ready for use. If you choose to add an essential oil to your lip treatment, add it after the gloss has almost cooled and then stir thoroughly. Please make sure that the gloss is cooled before you use on your lips to prevent burns.

Take in 6 products to a counter/store, and get a lipstick at no charge. I've done this many times over the yrs. Great thing - saves a little on accumulation of trash.When does lipgloss expire?

It really lasts for 6 months you have to throw them away after because it will makes your lips dry and it will affect your lips it makes your lips rough cause the texture will be different %26amp; clumpy.
But you know what whatever do whatever you think is right haha.
But if it smells funny, throw it out.
If it's cakey or chunky, throw it out.
If it smells like lipgloss, looks like lipgloss...use it.

The smell test is the best way to know. some products start to go ';off'; after a year. as a makeup artist i would suggest not keeping anything around longer then that. Because they say lipgloss lasts about 2 years. BUT keep in mind that you dont know how long that gloss has been sitting on the self!

use tinted moisturizer, it works good to even out your skintone. but if you want to hide a few spots or something, use foundation. if you want to hide the shine, use pressed powder AFTER the foudation or the tinted moisturizer.

i use the wet foundation, then loose powder. if im in a hurry, then i'll wipe some powder on. you need to make SURE your shade is right. you dont want a nasty orange line on your face. i suggest almay smart shade... it finds out your skin color and makes it look even and pretty.
You can use a concealer instead of foundation on patchy areas then finish off with loose or pressed powder which is what I do.
I don't like wearing foundation cos it feels heavy :)

Hey I would for sure recommend Bougois lip gloss, they plump up the lips, used it and it for sure makes your lips appear fuller and plump- when i have found out the exact name of the bougois lip gloss i will E-mail it to you.

I've just bought Maybelline colourstay. It is very good. You apply the base colour, wait 2 minutes and then slick over the gloss. The colour stays on for up to 16 hours. You just touch up the gloss. It about 拢7.

I've just bought Maybelline colourstay. It is very good. You apply the base colour, wait 2 minutes and then slick over the gloss. The colour stays on for up to 16 hours. You just touch up the gloss. It about 拢7.

The best choice to go for when buying lipgloss is to stick with lighter colors, because lighter colored lipgloss match most people and wont look to over the top even if you have pale colored skin to very dark skin. So go for a light pink, or clear lipgloss, will look great.

MAC lipglass is nice but it can be a little sticky. I prefer MAC lip gelee..it has nice conditioning properties and stops your lips from drying out. I have also heard lots about Lancome Juicy tubes but when I tried them in a dept store, I found them a bit sticky. Clarins and Clinique also have nice conditioning ones. I have never tried the Bare Escentuals ones but I will probably check them out soon! Good luck.....

Well its not really a color--but being as I'm not big on lipstick colors that are very bold and my lips tend to get dry/chapped easily. I started using Softlips...I found after using that for a couple days it moisturizes your lips and it make the natural color of your lips stand out much more. But if your looking for a good tinted gloss try Neutrogena or Clinique--they have great glosses that last for hours and have an spf to protect your lips from those nasty UV rays!

I think for foundation that the loreal true match are really good because they have so many color choices. The blush and concealer are good of that line too.
Good mascara depends on what type of lashes you have but for normal length and thick lashes- Covergirls LashBlast is really good and Maybelline NewYorks new green one. i forget the name. but thats that define-a-lash one.
Im not very sure on lipglosses.

1 tsp petroleum jelly
1 tsp aloe vera gel
1 and 1\2 teaspoons coconut oil
1\2 teaspoon vanilla
Heat ingredients together in a double-boiler and pour into jars.

Ingredients:
7-8 tsp. sweet almond oil
2 tsp. beeswax
1 Vitamin E capsule
1 tsp. honey
5 drops citrus flavoring or essential oil (or you may like lime)
Microwave-safe container with lid

Melt the sweet almond oil and beeswax together in the microwave safe container for 1-2 minutes. Remove the mixture from the microwave, and pierce the vitamin E capsule with a pin or tip fo a knife, and squirt into mixture. Whisk the contents of the vitamin E capsule, honey, and flavoring, into the oil mixture, continuing to whisk until set. Spoon your new lip gloss into a small, balm container with tight lid.

Its not very expensive 2 in one chap stick lip gloss/ shimmer compared to lets say victories secret lip gloss burts bees is $4-5 and Victorias secretsss is about 7.
Loreal makes a few different kinds of lip gloss, and I have tried them all. They are all pretty good, but will run you around $7. Sorry. But I like that they don't have a really disgusting flavor, and that you can pretty much find it anywhere.

try lipbalm(tinted) body shop do nice ones and they smell nice too..or u can colour all ur lips with a lip pencil(ur choice of colour) and then add the lip balm or chapstik or vaseline:) hope i helped:) using a lip pencil first gives more staying power and the balm or chapstik etc a nice shine:)

NYC has many colors and shades from dark pink to light pink to just plain clear. Mary, Kate %26amp; Ashley has just pretty much clear. HIP might like in the makeup section of Target %26amp; Walmart. There's another 1 around the makeup section but its girly but gives a great shine sorry I could not give you the name of it because I forgot but hopes this helps.

try a colored or glitter mascara for a fun alternative to black or brown. put the wand at the base of your lashes and wiggle it, then swoop it up. this will make it thick at the bottom and give an effect like liner. wear pretty colored lip gloss too. you dont need more then that. you have the benefit of youth enjoy it
sneak in just a bit of eye shadow.
go to the local pharmacy and look at the almay stuff. they suggest colors depending on your eye color. use only a VERY little bit.
make sure your lip gloss has just a hint of color.

Do the corners of your bottom lashes so it kinda looks like eyeliner. Or, just ask if you can wear eyeliner, brown isnt as harsh as black and it looks very natural.

Shimmy the mascara brush at the base of your top eyelashes make them thicker and give the illusion of eyeliner.
when applying msacara try using an eye lash curler too

try a colored or glitter mascara for a fun alternative to black or brown. put the wand at the base of your lashes and wiggle it, then swoop it up. this will make it thick at the bottom and give an effect like liner. wear pretty colored lip gloss too. you dont need more then that. you have the benefit of youth enjoy it
sneak in just a bit of eye shadow.
go to the local pharmacy and look at the almay stuff. they suggest colors depending on your eye color. use only a VERY little bit.
make sure your lip gloss has just a hint of color.
you'll be all set. good luck.
for mascara, curl your eyelashes to make ur eyes look bigger!!! and then apply 2 coats of lengthening mascara. curl again and then apply a lip gloss that compliments you like a light pink shiny one. also wash your face and use moisturizere
Do the corners of your bottom lashes so it kinda looks like eyeliner. Or, just ask if you can wear eyeliner, brown isnt as harsh as black and it looks very natural.

Shimmy the mascara brush at the base of your top eyelashes make them thicker and give the illusion of eyeliner.
when applying msacara try using an eye lash curler too
your lashes will end up fuller and thicker :)
as for gloss just put it on theres really o trick to it lol

I probably own over 50 lip glosses, purchasing about two a month. I mostly go for MAC, but I love drug store brands too!! I am totally addicted to them, I love how they make my lips look and men absolutely love how they make my lips look. If I am going to make out with a guy, I go much lighter on the lip gloss and will usually use a flavored lip balm. I've been told I have the softest lips ever!!!
