Yes, that's enough. I'd rather see powder-type eye shadow (medium brownish-gray) used along the outer part of the upper eyelids, instead of mascara, which can clump and run and look very artificial.
Concealer is good for dark area under the eyes, and blemishes. An all-over liquid makeup, or else pressed powder, can even out your facial skin tones.

I'm sixteen and usually I just wear a little concealer on the red spots, and some mascara. usually I do it in the corner lashes or the far half because I have naturally long eyelashes, so mascara usually is a little much. and some goldish, light brownish eyeshadow.

Usually you can find dupes from the LE stuff in the permanent line, so if you sit this collection out and try to find some similar shades in the permanent line, the only thing you'll really miss out on is the packaging (which is cute and all, but not worth $30). If you just lost your job, it probably isn't a good idea to spend money on makeup, at least until you're 100% positive you've got another job lined up.

I don't like a lip gloss with flavor. After awhile it gags in my throat. I prefer Loreal (Lancome's cheaper little sister product) clear gloss. I put it over my Cover Girl long lasting lip color and it keeps my lips soft and not chapped. I used to be a carmex junkie, easy to get addicted to that stuff, but not good for your lips in the long run. I don't care for lip enhancers, they burn when they are just supposed to 'tingle'.
All of the Sephora lipglosses are excellent. I also love, MAC lipglass, Iman and Maybelline lipglosses.

are there any lipglosses that will do that because I'm looking for a reddish colour but I don't want to get lipstick-it would just be too much for my skin tone. That would be a Tinted lip gloss. The ones you and I get are probably clear or sheer so you can't really notice it. But just look around for one that is tinted. If you want, just take the lid/ cap off if there are testers and try it out on your finger to see if it's clear or not.

I agree with the people who said don't use it. You don't know what's been growing in that lipgloss tube for the past few years. Lipgloss is cheap enough..... toss it and buy a new one. I toss my mascaras after 3 months. I use up my lipstick within a few months... any lipstick that sits around for a few months without being worn gets chucked in the trash... whether it's old or not. I've seen so many stories where they've done research on this type of thing and found that old makeup can harbor lots of bacteria. After 5 years, I could only guess what's in yours.
Every makeup has an expiration date and lip gloss is like 2 to 3 years. It doesn't apply as well and get clumpy.Even if yours doesn't have these problems, BACTERIA grows in it, not a great thing to put on your mouth!! A good idea would be to go buy a new one, it will look better and you won't get sick!!That's a plus!=)=)

Its fine. I'm in 8th now, and i wear eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, cover up, and lip gloss. The trick is dont put too much on. I guess i can get by with it cause i dont cake it on, and i know how to put it on without looking totally fake cause my mom works at a cosmetic place and shes a makeup artist there so she taught me how to put it on without looking like a clown.
7Th grade is important. You're not in grade school, yet not in high school. Keep that in mind when you put on your makeup. I understand wanting to separate yourself from the kids, but remember you're also not in 10th grade yet. Keep in mind, older students, your parents, your teachers, coaches and other parents might judge you unfairly if you wear too much. Stick with something sheer, glossy or lightly tinted for the lips. Don't wear dark eye shadow, it's even hard for adults to pull off. Mascara would be fine, but I'd stay away from eyeliner (at least this year). Blush is ok and bronzer, just remember that it's supposed to ';enhance'; the natural beauty you already have. Also, your body will change the next few years. When that happens, sometimes people get acne - makeup will sometimes make the acne worse, so make sure that you wash your face every night before you go to bed. And, ask your mom, OK? Have her help you, I'm sure she'll be more than happy. At least until you get the basics down, then you can go makeup shopping with your girlfriends :) And, if I were you - before you walk out the door each morning - ask your mom ';Hey Mom, do I look ok?';. I dont think that you are too young to wear a small amount. I started wearing makeup in middle school and a lot of my friends parents thought that thier daughters were too young and didnt let them. My mom worked at a makeup counter and showed me how to apply a small amount and how to make it look natural. If you are going to wear mascara, you should not wear as much eye shadow...but the lip gloss....I know kindergradeners that wear it so...dont worry about that!! ;-)

They're made to actually cause a slight allergic reaction that swells the lips and draws more blood to make the colour richer. Collecting lipgloss? What do you think?
im thinking of starting to collect lipgloss when I move in December. All different sorts of it. Would this be a weird thing to collect or not?Collecting lipgloss? What do you think?

Lip glosses have a 12 month expiration date and it is recommended that you buy a new one after 6 months of use as germs and bacteria build up on the applicator. Because of those things collecting lip gloss is not really going to be worth while as they will not be use able after 12 months and you would have waisted your money. Xx

If its something you really want to do then go for it.

I agree with the poster who recommended the Beauty Rush lip balm. Using that will be more beneificial than just the color and shine from the glosses. If you get your lips in shape from using the balm then you can use the glosses by day and the balm at night while you sleep,thats what i do and it really works well for me. Plus just a note for ya, chapped lips are a sign of mild dehydration. the beauty rush lipgloss isn't very ';moisturizing';. it's more for looks, color, sparkle, flavor. the beauty rush lip balm is fantastic though! extremely moisturizing and works well under the beauty rush gloss for color, or alone as a shiny gloss. i would totally suggest trying it! they're two for $10 too, so you can get the lip balm (it comes in a pink round container) and a lip gloss and try both! my favs. are piece of cake, creme femme, and strawberry fizz!

Lipgloss as eyeshadow?
I have a beautiful champane color lipgloss that looks beautiful as an eyeshadow. Can using this lipgloss as an eyeshadow be harmful to my eyes or can I continue using it? Thanks.Lipgloss as eyeshadow?
It depends on what ingredients there are in the lipgloss, if it has any glitter in it, and how sticky it is.
Gloss on the lids looks great, and as long as it stays on your lid it isnt a problem. However, any bits of glitter etc. can easily travel down during the day and into your eye and any build up can lead to an eye infection, if you are wearing this gloss as a eyeshadow daily.
Some good alternatives are;
- to use a champagne coloured eyeshadow, like MAC Shroom, and the dab some vaseline on top (it is purer).
- Calvin Klein make a eye gloss, which is lighter than lip gloss and has less bits in it - that can be added to different eyeshadows too.
- Use your lipgloss, but use some eyedrops at night to make sure your eyes are clear and avoid infection.Lipgloss as eyeshadow?
If the lipgloss tube has touched your lips, I wouldn't use it on your eyes. Your mouth and lips have bacteria on them that are fine for in your mouth, but not your eyes. If you like the lipgloss as an eyeshadow, get a separate tube for your eyes.
It's defiantly not bad for you eyes, but might be a little sticky! But if you like it, then go for it!
Anything you put on your eyelid eventually migrates down into your eyes. That's why they do specific testing. They put stuff in the lip products to soften and moisturize your lips. Eye products are totaly different. You could very well hurt your eyes. The only thing I know that can be used on eyelids AND lips is Bare Escentuals mineral powders. And they DO have ';champagne'; colors. It would be worth it to buy that instead of risking your vision.
I doubt the lip gloss will do anything to your eyes. %26amp; as long as it looks nice as a shadow I don't see what the harm is

As long as you don't get a reaction from using it, I don't see why not. Makeup artists use that trick all the time! They mix and match and interchange different makeup to achieve the look they want. I would go ahead and use it. Makeup is makeup, no matter how you look at it or use it. If that's the look you want, then do it!

I don't see how it can be harmful. lipglosses and lipsticks are made to be safe for ingestion so I can't see how it could hurt to have it on your eyelids, lip skin is just as sensitive. It might irritate your eyes if you get it in them, but shouldn't do any real damage. I think it would drive me nuts, having that goop on my eyelids though!

No, actually they used to make a shadow that was glossy, but I don't know where to get it anymore. The only thing is, if you wear mascara, it'll make your eyelashes stick to the gloss and you'll get black smudges in the crease of your eyelid from it.

No way girl! Thought it may be a beautiful shade, it CAN dammage your eyes! lip gloss has a lot of chemicals that can be very dammaging to your eyes.
It depends on what ingredients there are in the lipgloss, if it has any glitter in it, and how sticky it is.
Gloss on the lids looks great, and as long as it stays on your lid it isnt a problem. However, any bits of glitter etc. can easily travel down during the day and into your eye and any build up can lead to an eye infection, if you are wearing this gloss as a eyeshadow daily.
Some good alternatives are;
- to use a champagne coloured eyeshadow, like MAC Shroom, and the dab some vaseline on top (it is purer).
- Calvin Klein make a eye gloss, which is lighter than lip gloss and has less bits in it - that can be added to different eyeshadows too.
- Use your lipgloss, but use some eyedrops at night to make sure your eyes are clear and avoid infection.Lipgloss as eyeshadow?
If the lipgloss tube has touched your lips, I wouldn't use it on your eyes. Your mouth and lips have bacteria on them that are fine for in your mouth, but not your eyes. If you like the lipgloss as an eyeshadow, get a separate tube for your eyes.

Anything you put on your eyelid eventually migrates down into your eyes. That's why they do specific testing. They put stuff in the lip products to soften and moisturize your lips. Eye products are totaly different. You could very well hurt your eyes. The only thing I know that can be used on eyelids AND lips is Bare Escentuals mineral powders. And they DO have ';champagne'; colors. It would be worth it to buy that instead of risking your vision.

As long as you don't get a reaction from using it, I don't see why not. Makeup artists use that trick all the time! They mix and match and interchange different makeup to achieve the look they want. I would go ahead and use it. Makeup is makeup, no matter how you look at it or use it. If that's the look you want, then do it!

I don't see how it can be harmful. lipglosses and lipsticks are made to be safe for ingestion so I can't see how it could hurt to have it on your eyelids, lip skin is just as sensitive. It might irritate your eyes if you get it in them, but shouldn't do any real damage. I think it would drive me nuts, having that goop on my eyelids though!

No, actually they used to make a shadow that was glossy, but I don't know where to get it anymore. The only thing is, if you wear mascara, it'll make your eyelashes stick to the gloss and you'll get black smudges in the crease of your eyelid from it.
well it depends on how sensitive your skin it my eyes broke out pretty bad but there could have been many things that went wrong but i guess you could try it you never know

Also, if you're looking for something that will look really good, but also mosturize, try the Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers. The Champagne shade is really sheer, and Guava is sheer but a more pink color. The Watermelon is the last one that I'd recommend- it's not as sheer, but's it's still got a nice coat. It's also a darker color.

Makeup Product Help? Best Mascara, Best Foundation, Best Lipgloss?
I don't wear too much makeup and hardly have any makeup that is worth wearing. What are the best mascaras, foundations (mineral), lipglosses, etc. that I can buy on a budget of $20? Also, what else would I need to buy? Brushes, concealer, eyelash curler etc.? Please Help! I'm clueless. Also, if you can give me any good tutorials on how to create a fresh makeup look I'd really appreciate it.

It would be hard to find a nice foundation in that price range, but Jane mineral works and is inexpensive. You can get a decent lipgloss for $2-3 at any drugstore or Walmart/Target type store. the best mascara out there is Maybelline Great Lash and I get it for $3-4. Jane and NYC have eyeliners for a dollar or two. You can find a nice little eyeshadow palette for a few bucks. Concealer is kind of hard to find but some of the drugstore brands make mineral concealers. I wouldn't recommend a liquid or stick concealer if you're going to use mineral foundation. I'd skip the eyelash curler if you're on a budget. If you use mineral makeup it's a good idea to pick up a brush. It wouldn't be a bad idea to get some powder or mineral blush either.

Favorite Foundations: Clinique supermoisture makeup, or Clinique perfectly real makeup. Also, Covergirl Trublend.
Favorite Powder: Clinique perfectly real powder, and Clinique almost powder.
Favorite Bronzer: Mac or Too Faced
Favorite Cream Blush: Clinique blush stick, NARS cream blush, or flirt! cream blush
Favorite Powder Blush: Mac, or Bare Minerals
Favorite Eyeshadows: clinique, revlon, bare minerals, very sexy by victorias secret
Favorite eyeliners: Revlon and clinique cream liner
Favorite Mascara: clinique lash power, clinique naturally glossy, maybelline turbo boost
This is a list of my favorites, and if you pick a few essential products you should be good to go. I think you shoudl at least invest in a mascara and some bronzer. And i like all lipgloss, so i didn't list it, but you need one of those too.

They have brush sets at drugstore, the best and softest i have found in drugstore are CvS essense of beauty or Pout brushes found at Walgreens.
Revlon has a good eyelash curler.

Here are my favorite drugstore products. I don't recommend purchasing a drugstore mineral makeup line. The quality isn't good in my opinion, but Maybelline's line does get good reviews. You are going to run out of money quickly, but if you watch the drugstore ads, you can go when they have buy one get one free sales and make your money go farther. All you really need to start with is mascara, blush and a lipgloss.
Eyelash curlers are a waste of money and not necessary, and I recommended a cream blush so you don't have to buy makeup brushes. Good ones are expensive, about $20.00 each. The cheaper ones shed all over your face and aren't worth it. Be patient, and you can build up quite a makeup collection over time. And have fun!

Concealer: L'Oreal True Match (tiny and portable)
Mascara: CoverGirl Lash Blast (there is nothing better, period)
Eyeliner: Revlon ColorStay (the black one is perfection)
Lipstick: Revlon ColorStay (last all day, even through a meal)
Lipgloss: L'Oreal HIP (the longest lasting ones out there)
Blush: All of the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse blushes are really pretty and natural
Powder: Maybelline Dream Matte Pressed Powder (makes your skin look perfect all day)
For a fresh look all you need is black mascara, peach blush and pink lipgloss. This is a classic look that never goes out of style. You can wear more makeup if you want, but a little goes a long way. If you need foundation, just apply a pea-sized amount to your fingers and rub them together, and then blend the makeup on your face starting with your nose and cheeks, and then working a little bit into your chin and the skin between your eyebrows. That is plenty to even out your face because those are the areas that tend to be uneven anyway. The key is to blend. If you want to see makeup tutorials, go to youtube. There are tons of great vidoes. Just type ';makeup tutorial'; in the search bar.
